Uju okorie comes after churches that entertain comedians.

Am I the only one wondering what the heck comedians are doing in the house of God?

Wait first, and let me explain what the house of God means so that we don’t get it twisted.

When the Apostle Paul was writing to Timothy who was the Pastor of the Ephesian church, he described what the house of God is.

This is what he said:

“These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly. But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.” (1 Timothy 3:14,15)

Some things are just impossible to understand.

Like how a jester who freely conjures up absolutely untrue statements just to make people laugh, would be allowed to stand at the altar of THE PILLAR AND THE GROUND OF THE TRUTH.
How in heaven’s name does this make sense?

Tufiaaaaaaaa!!

You attend a service where a man who emits nothing but vulgarity is given the microphone and then your ears are filled with utter rubbish – From sexual innuendoes to jokes about the holy word of God to totally depraved jests on prayer.

Nothing is considered too sacred.

Absolutely nothing!

You enquire how in the world we got to the base of this refuse dump and you are told that it is meant to attract people.
What??

Like the Holy Spirit in all His omnipotence is no longer enough?

Like… Wait godu o.. Excuse me.

I think it is important we clarify if these assemblies who have descended into this sewage tank of comedy on the Lord’s altar, are really part of the house of God.

It is absolutely no use to burst an artery over an unserious student whose name is not even in the university records in the first place.

The scriptures are absolutely clear on the fact that the world would be inundated with false teachers as the end draws near.

Men and brethren, the perilous times are upon us.

If there is a moment when you should study the word more, pray more and understand the scriptures for yourself, friends it is now.

The marking criteria for this examination we are doing is not the other student.
It is the scriptures.

Somehow, these eternal words by C.H Spurgeon, keep me sane in these grossly distressing times.

I save my sweat for more important things when I remember that these things were prophesied.

He said:

“A time will come when instead of shepherds feeding the sheep, the church will have clowns entertaining the goats.”
-Charles H. Spurgeon (1834-1892)

My question to you is this:
Which are you? A sheep or a goat?

Ya buru uka buru ilu.

Selah!
